Hi,
I tried my hand at making a short video. I published it as a reel on Instagram, and now I’m sharing it here.
Since CoVID, I started taking walks in Lalbagh — a botanical garden accessible to the public in Bangalore. It has always been near my home, but it was only during the pandemic that I decided to actually check it out.
Instantly became my favourite place in Bangalore. I come here to take walks and bask in the peace. This video is my attempt at capturing how I feel as I take a walk here.
Watch it, let me know what you think !
We live and experience our lives in a rhythm.
Our beating hearts, the periodicity of joy and pain, the ebbs and flows of emotions, the peaks and v
alleys of relationships and our alternating desires and dreams.
This rhythm is hard to grasp. If you’re in sync, then life seems like an exciting and fulfilling adventure.
If.
Most of the time though, I think I'm off rhythm. A lot of days are out of tune. My brain is swirling and spinning with thoughts. The daily business of life is interrupting my flow.
I am always in pursuit of this rhythm. What works for me sometimes, is taking a walk.
Walking is an act of intricate care for me. Sauntering along the abode of greenery that is Lalbagh — helps me relax.
It keeps the pandemonium of the world at bay.
Away from the daily commotion of life, I have found my pocket of comfort here.
Most days it is quiet. You hear your footsteps. The winds are welcoming me, and the trees offer their shade for support.
As I start walking, I let my mind wander and meander. I am allowed to be slow. I can pay attention to my surroundings.
I ponder on the questions which I avoid. My emotions free up. They come and grow together. I am lost and that’s okay.
Step by step, I experience serenity.
Taking a walk is inevitably an exercise in staying connected to the world. There is harmony around me. I can breathe, stay still and maybe even smile a little.
Walking is a bridge between the daily chaos of living and the rhythm of my life.
Do share this with people who you think would appreciate this !
